Hello All!*

Spring is here, the City of Winnipeg 2016 Budget has been approved, and it’s busy as ever at City Hall!  This e-newsletter contains a very important update on how the 2016 Budget impacts our ward.  A good ‘long weekend’ read, which I encourage you to share with neighbours and friends!

1. 2016 Approved Budget Impact on South Winnipeg-St. Norbert Ward

2. Rental Housing

The recently formed rental sub-committees have been hard at work, and are in the process of developing a comprehensive website.  They are also seeking volunteers who wish to serve as "block captains" in University Heights and Fort Richmond to help create an inventory of assumed rental properties on each street. 3.  Winnipeg Transit

Adding transit service into the Bridgwater Lakes and South Pointe communities is a top priority. I’d like to thank Mr. David Sanders (Chair of the Bridgwater Lakes Neighbourhood Association), MB Institute of Trades and Technology, SHAW Communications, and residents who have made City Council aware of this important issue. Please read the TWO most recent updates SEE DETAILS

4.  Spring Community Events

You won’t want to miss our Forum on Public Safety (April 28) or the Dakota Park Consultation (April 21).  Other spring events include three Community Centre general meetings, community spring clean-ups, and a giant pumpkin growers seminar - there's no shortage of things to do in South Winnipeg-St. Norbert!  SEE DETAILS
