100 South Town Road

Altea Fitness has subdivided their land and rezoned the southern 1.48 acres of their parking lot to residential and commercial use. The development plans are to allow a multi-unit residential development with 102 residential units and 7,975 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor.  Altea is seeking a child care provider to move in on the main floor.

The proposed height of the apartment complex is 10 storeys. This height tapers down to 6 storeys at the rear of the building. A total of 208 parking stalls are proposed on site:

•           This includes 78 surface stalls,15 ground floor stalls and 115 underground stalls

•           Residential parking for 102 units requires 123 stalls (based on combination of uses reduction)

•           Commercial parking for 7,975 sq. ft. requires 19 stalls be provided

•           12 residential guest parking stalls are to be provided.

•           5 accessible stalls (including 2 van accessible) will be provided

•           16 bicycle parking spaces are to be provided.

Transit frequency will increase when this complex and the other multi family complexes in  Bridgwater Centre are complete.   The design has been reviewed and approved by Nadi Designs, Manitoba Housing’s approved architect. This will create much housing for the community and will become a stellar south entrance point to Bridgwater Centre.
