Dog Park Plans Underway

The City of Winnipeg has posted information about the new doggie park in Bridgwater Trails  – at 360 Appleford Gate.

This doggie park will be fenced in, approximately 1 acre in size, and include many park amenities like benches, trees, logs for doggies to jump on/over.  The park will also contain multiple garbage cans for ‘doggie residuals’!! (Please, please be a responsible dog owner & pick up your pooch’s poo!)

I know there are many many families with furry friends that have to drive great distances for Fido to have fun – but by mid-summer – this park should be up and running!

I’ve been working on this project for a while and am very pleased it is finally happening! Recently, I funded and had city staff construct a smaller fenced in doggie park in Whyte Ridge & residents love it. Dog parks are for more than dogs – they are great meeting places for residents!
