New Spray Pad to Serve Whyte Ridge, Linden Ridge & Beyond!

On a breezy Saturday morning, community members gathered to hold the ‘official announcement’ for a new spray pad – soon to be located on the grounds of the Whyte Ridge Community Centre!
This project has been a few years in the making – starting with passionate emails and calls to my office from area residents expressing the desire to see the installation of a spray pad.
Under the leadership of past President Curtis Rossow, current President Kim O’Hara, and the board of the Whyte Ridge Community Centre, we managed to secure $1Million in funding to construct this state of the art spray pad.
Much gratitude to MP Terry Duguid and MLA Obby Khan for coming on board with additional financial support to make this project a reality for the community. Construction will start in July and be completed by early fall. In addition to the spray pad, trees, benches and pathway connections will also be constructed.
More and more young families are moving into Whyte Ridge and Linden Ridge, and the spray pad will be a welcome feature at the Community Centre. And it will be a wonderful addition to celebrate the multi generational opportunities we have with Pembina Active Living 55+ based out of the centre!
Area residents of Whyte Ridge, Linden Ridge and Linden Woods – you have an AMAZING volunteer board running the Whyte Ridge Community Centre and this is just one of the many great projects they have underway! Details on other projects coming soon !
Bravo to everyone involved!
