Skating Rinks are Opening Up

Winter is here and the ice is being made on many skating rinks throughout the neighbourhoods!  Enjoy the Canadian experience – on ice!  We have LOTS of rinks that area being prepared for you to skate on over the holidays – and throughout the winter!

Rinks in Parks

The City of Winnipeg Parks department constructs and maintains ice at ‘outdoor pleasure rinks’ located in various neighbourhoods. These rinks are open 24 x 7 and are located at:

Kirkbridge Park

• Beside the Bairdmore & Sandusky Parking Lot

Bridgwater Lakes Park

• North intersection of Bridge Lake Drive and Sablewood Rd

Eaglewood Park

• 110 Eaglewood Drive

 South Winnipeg Community Centre

INDOOR:

666 Silverstone Arena

• Every Saturday from 10:30 am to 11:45 am for a free skate! Helmets are required for anyone under 18 years of age.

 OUTDOOR:

1885 Chancellor Drive

• Three Outdoor Rinks are being prepared

666 Silverstone Avenue

• Two Outdoor Rinks are being prepared

 Whyte Ridge Community Centre

Constructs and maintains the ice at the Community Centre site. For hours of operation contact Whyte Ridge Community Centre
