Snapshot of Development in Waverley West Ward

Following up on some requests from residents, I’ve prepared a snapshot of the multi residential family development activity in the Waverly West ward which has been occurring over last 5 or so years. Compared to the early 1990s, the proportion of multi-residential units has significantly increased. In 1990, multi-residential units accounted for 13 per cent of housing starts in Winnipeg, and in 2020, they accounted for 72 per cent. This snapshot is of multi residential family and a I’ve included bit of commercial development. It does not include the volume of single family development that has also been occurring.
