Sports Registration Time

Consider signing your child / children up for sports – team sports are a wonderful way to meet new friends, and burn off energy!

Many residents in the Waverley West ward are new to the neighbourhood and are learning about the youth recreation activities offered by the South Winnipeg Community Centre. Much programming was put on hold because of COVID and residents may not be aware of what is being offered for the 2022 season!  See the catchment map; if you live in any of these neighbourhoods, South Winnipeg Community Centre is where you can sign up for youth sports!   Now is the time to sign up your children if they are interested in playing a team sport – For all details see Spring Registration 2022

• Timbits Softball  (4 to 7yrs)
• Softball (8 to 18 yr)
• Soccer (9-18 yrs)
• Mini Soccer (4 to 6 and 7/8 yrs)
• Basketball development (5-12 yrs)
• Basketball (7-18 & 18+ yrs)
• Cricket (6-18 yrs)

Thank you to all the Volunteers and Staff at South Winnipeg Community Centre! Many positive changes are underway – a new website, soon a newsletter, check out Twitter and Instagram, and many physical renovations will be starting this spring! I’ll post more details in the coming weeks!
