Brady Road Landfill & New 4R Winnipeg Depot – Community Information Evening

Mark your calendar for Thursday, October 22! I will be hosting a community information evening on the Brady Road Landfill and new 4R Winnipeg Recycling Depot.
The Brady Road Resource Management Facility, which opened in 1973, accepts residential and commercial waste. The Brady Landfill will be in the shadows of our community for at least the next 100+ years, and it is important we are aware of the many ways the City is working to reduce the impact of landfill activities (i.e. landscaping, noise and odour control, construction, etc) on our community and local environment.
Here is your opportunity to learn more! On October 22, staff experts from the City’s Waste department will be in attendance to answer any questions related to the landfill. A new landfill cell has opened up, landscaping activities are occurring, a new recycling depot is opening, learn about the area clean-up programs and more!
Please come out and join me on October 22! I look forward to seeing you!
WHEN: Thursday, October 22, 2015 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
WHERE: St. Norbert Community Centre (3450 Pembina Highway)
