Improving Transportation & Parks in South Winnipeg-St. Norbert Ward

Tuesday, May 5, 2015   5:00 to 8:30 pm     (Drop in format)

Pinnacle Club at Investors Group Field Stadium
315 Chancellor Matheson Road, Winnipeg

Ample Free Parking

I have invited City of Winnipeg Public Works Department transportation engineers, and park planners to attend the May 5 event and share information on transportation and park improvements that are currently underway. This is your opportunity to talk to the experts who plan your streets and parks and share YOUR ideas with them.

LEARN what transportation initiatives are underway:

  • road construction projects
  • sidewalks, bike paths, intersections, crosswalks, signals installations
  • short, medium and long term transportation plans
  • Southwest Rapid Transit Corridor plans   & more!

DISCUSS your transportation improvement ideas with the experts, learn what is possible and what could be implemented to improve transportation and parks in our community!

TELL US what park improvements you would like to see in the parks in our community now and in the coming years.

  • King’s Park upgrade? More benches? A playstructure?
  • Kirkbridge Park upgrade? A washroom? More pathways?
  • St Norbert, Waverley Heights and other South Winnipeg park needs?

SHARE your ideas on how we can work towards improving our parks.

As I embark on my 4-year term as your City Councillor, I would like clear direction on your priorities related to our transportation network and parks infrastructure.  If you are unable to attend on May 5, please email your comments and ideas to jlukes@winnipeg.ca, and we will discuss with the Public Works department! Happy Spring!
