PROJECT DETAILS

There are two phases to this project:.

Phase 1:  Cleaning the sewer, which will begin shortly.

Phase 2:  Involves installing a new liner in the sewer, and will take place this summer.

During both phases of the project:

  • The work in front of your home/business will take about 4-6 hours.
  • The contractor will deliver an information package at least 24 hours before the work begins.  The package recommends that residents/business owners take some simple precautions to help prevent water damage in your home or building.

During construction, please note:

  • Your water service will not be interrupted.
  • There may be brief interruptions in your sewer service, but this will be coordinated with residents/business owners in advance.
  • Very noisy equipment will be running.
  • Traffic on your street will be restricted to local access only.
  • There will be some parking restrictions.
  • Stay safe!  To keep your children and pets safe, please keep them away from the construction site at all times.

The City of Winnipeg will restore any damaged boulevard and pavement areas as soon as possible.  We understand that this project may cause you some inconvenience and we appreciate your patience.
