Pembina Highway – 2015 Road Construction

PRELIMINARY CONSTRUCTION NOTICE TO BUSINESS PERSONS AND RESIDENTS ON:
- Pembina Highway (Southbound) Street Rehabilitation and Bike Lane from Bairdmore Boulevard North Leg to Kirkbridge Drive
- Pembina Highway (Northbound) Street Resurfacing and Bike Lane from Killarney Avenue to Dalhousie Drive
The above street renewal project has been approved by City Council for construction this coming summer as part of the 2015 Regional Street Renewal Program of the City of Winnipeg, Public Works Department.
- Pembina Highway (Southbound): The street rehabilitation will include pavement widening, pavement renewal, curb renewal, sidewalk renewal, bus stop upgrades, new bike lane and boulevard upgrading where required. This work will be followed by asphalt resurfacing of the pavement to improve the drainage and rideability.
- Pembina Highway (Northbound): The new bike lane will include pavement widening and bus stop upgrades, curb renewal, sidewalk renewal as required and boulevard upgrading where required. This work will be followed by asphalt resurfacing of the pavement to improve the drainage and rideability.
The project will require approximately four months to complete. The street will not be physically closed to vehicular traffic. Access to all business and residential premises will be maintained.
Approximately two weeks prior to commencement of construction, all businesses and residents will be contacted with the intended construction starting date.
