Adopt a Rink Program

The City of Winnipeg has a great  ‘Adopt a Rink’ program which enables residents to build a skating rink on public property. Residents are in charge of building the rink, insuring it, maintaining it and allowing the public to access it (as it is located on public property). Resident work with parks staff to determine location and other pertinent details.

I’m pleased to be supporting a group of neighbours who have created a small skating rink in a park just off Oak Lawn Road in the neighbourhood of Bridgwater Forest. It’s a teeny tiny rink, but provides great fun and entertainment for the children!
