Cleaning Washrooms on Weekends

City parks have seen a tremendous increase in use over the winter months during the pandemic. Some City parks have washroom facilities that are available to the public. However, washroom facilities in City parks are not cleaned on weekends from September to June.

Therefore, on May 3, 2021, I moved a motion directing the Public Service to report back to the Standing Policy Committee on Protection, Community Services and Parks prior to the 2022 Budget Review Process, with the estimated cost to increase the scheduled cleaning of washroom facilities in City parks during the months of September to June from once per day Monday – Friday, to seven days per week.
