Eliminating Garbage and Recycling Pickup: No Decision Yet Made

I would like the residents of the Waverly West Ward and all Winnipegers to know that the City has NOT made any decision on eliminating garbage and recycling pick up at condos and multi-family apartment blocks. Budget discussions are underway and this was an idea the public service floated around to save money. NO decision has been made at this point in time.

However, the Mayor’s Budget Working Group is considering this option as they craft the 2020 budget. Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend you email all of the members of the budget working group as they have exclusive information that I and other Councillors do not have access to – and they are responsible for determining what is included in the 2020 budget.

Please keep in mind that I do NOT support eliminating garbage and recycling pick up at condos and multi-family apartment blocks.
