Lend a Hand to Syrian Refugees

In the South Winnipeg-St. Norbert Ward, two community initiatives to assist refugees are currently underway.
The Mary Mother of the Church Parish is currently raising funds for the Syrian Refugee crisis to sponsor a larger family. They have a goal of raising a minimum of $25,000, with further funds from the federal government. The community is welcome to make donations, which can be dropped of at the parish office or mailed to 85 Kirkbridge Drive, Winnipeg, R3T 5S7. In addition, the Manitoba Islamic Association Refugee Support Committee welcomes help from the community. They are focused on mobilizing community resources to assist refugees in their transition to Manitoba and to match offers for help with existing needs.
