Bridgwater Fountains – Update June 2020

Please see update on all fountains – contact me if you have any questions.

 Bridgwater Forest Fountain:

  • Has now been turned on and is still being monitored by City for leaks & ongoing upgrades-this fountain is now the responsibility of the City. For history on this fountain See Bridgwater Forest Fountain

Bridgwater Trails Fountain:

  • Has now been turned on and still the responsibility of Manitoba Housing-the developer. They will be doing repair work this summer and anticipate the fountain will remain on throughout repairs.

Bridgwater Lakes Fountain:

  • This fountain is now under ownership of the City. It WILL be turned on once the sod laying is complete. As there are large machines working to lay sod and the fence is plastic-the decision has been made not to turn the fountain on till all machines leave the site. I am supportive of this as the fencing is just not secure enough to protect people from machines. When the machines leave, the fountain will be turned on. The fencing will remain up till mid-August and will be under the care of Manitoba Housing. It is anticipated the City will take over care of the sod when the fencing comes down.
  • I – like residents – simply can’t wait till all these deficiencies in the fountain have been rectified by the developer. Replacement of sod is the last one – so, the end of all this repair work is near!
