New Prairie Pointe Townhomes

Plans for a new development were approved on July 21, 2021 special meeting of Assiniboia Community Committee where I represent Waverley West Ward residents. This development is located on the west side of Ken Oblik Drive, at the southwest corner of Ken Oblik Drive and the future extension of Waverley Street, in the Prairie Pointe Neighbourhood.
The plan is to to construct a multi-family development on the subject property, which will have a number of separate buildings, with a mix of townhouse and stacked townhouse dwelling units. Each of the proposed buildings will be between two (2) and three (3) storeys in height.
A total of 140 dwelling units are proposed. These units are broken out as follows:
o Building 1 will be three (3) storeys in height and will contain 20 dwelling units
o Building 2 will be three (3) storeys in height and will contain 16 dwelling units
o Building 3 will be three (3) storeys in height and will contain 20 dwelling units
o Buildings 4, 5, and 6 will each be two (2) storeys in height and will each contain eight (8) dwelling units
o Buildings 7, 8, and 9 are part of one building complex, and each be three (3) storeys in height and will contain a total of 60 dwelling units.
The developer will provide a total of 210 accessory parking stalls on the subject property. Of these 210 parking stalls, a total of 71 stalls are to be located indoors, within the proposed three-storey multi-family building complex containing 60 dwelling units. In addition to motor vehicle parking, a total of seven 24bicycle parking spaces will be provided.
