Kirkbridge Park & Richmond West Neighbourhoods Association

I’m very pleased to be a part of the resurrection of the Richmond West Neighbourhoods Association! The RWNA was very active a few years back in the improvement of Kirkbridge Park, and we are currently working on a number of new initiatives, challenges and opportunities.
Kirkbridge Park is a heavily used greenspace, one that is loved by many. Soccer, baseball, dog walking, school events and leisurely strolls are just some of the activities occurring! Key upgrade priorities identified by the community over the past few months include:
- Upgrading the asphalt pathway
- Adding seating and shade trees
- Km distance markers
- Information boards.
Watch my Ward Priorities: Parks web page for details as we embark on these initiatives!
Please note we are continuing to work through details related to the proposed baseball fence. There is an extreme shortage of recreational facilities in South Winnipeg, and we are seeking a compromise solution for all parties involved. Further complicating matters is the recent retirement of the City of Winnipeg Superintendent of Park Services South, the representative for our area. We should know more in the days to come, and I will be communicating an update to all.
