Years of planning, and now this new development in Waverley West ward received finally approved. These two apartment towers ( north tower – 15 stories, south tower – 16 stories) will be constructed at 3015 Pembina Highway (former car dealership site). The two towers are joined by a large foyer entrance and will include a 12,000 sq. foot commercial space located on the ground floor. The two towers will have a total of 406 residential units and will consist of one, two, and three bedrooms including some barrier free suites.

There will be luxury penthouses with 19 ft. high ceilings and walls of glass, a green roof, an enclosed dog run, an outdoor fireplace and seating area, and a barbecue area. The developer will also be ensuring the windows are constructed adhering ‘Bird Safe Building’ guidelines. There will be underground and surface parking for 450 vehicles, and bike parking including indoor bike parking for over 100 bikes. The development will be well served with transit on Pembina Highway.

This is an incredible development that will take approximately 2 ½-3 years to complete. Construction has started and will be in full gear come this June (2020). I’m very pleased to see such strong developer confidence in Winnipeg, and in particular, south Winnipeg.
