Traffic Study – Left Turn Signal at Pembina Highway and Bairdmore Boulevard / Dalhousie Drive (North)

I’ve had many request for a left turn signal on northbound Pembina Highway turning west onto Bairdmore Boulevard (north intersection). There is an increase in southbound Pembina traffic and an increase in north bound traffic. Many vehicles end up turning left off Pembina onto Bairdmore on a red light. On November 13, 2018, I moved a motion to have the Winnipeg Public Service conduct a traffic study to determine if a left turn signal for northbound traffic on Pembina turning west onto Bairdmore Boulevard was warranted (met criteria)

On June 25, 2019, the Public Service recommended (see Full report) that a left turn signal be installed.
