Stabilizing Retention Basin in Thelma J. Call Park

Residents have been reaching out to me with respect to the unstable retention basin and the sinking pathway in Thelma J. Call Park. The City has awarded the contract and the project is now starting!
The City of Winnipeg’s project to stabilize a segment of the stormwater retention basin starts early August. The work will include construction of rockfill ribs, in order to stabilize the slope along the east bank of the stormwater retention basin. Seeding and temporary repair of the pedestrian pathway will also be completed. The City will replace the entire park pathway in 2022.
